Adaptive Sports is excited to announce the launch of its Summer Programming!
There are a variety of activities to choose from:
Outdoor Summer Experiences – Registration Begins June 15 2025
Starting July 5th 2025, ASSP is offering accessible summer outdoor experiences to individuals living with neuro-divergent challenges. Participate in alpine hiking, alpine disc golf, & Stand Up Paddle boarding. We will be launching our first ever Adaptive Mountain Biking Program at Peaks Pedalfest, labour day weekend. Try one activity, or try them all!
Outdoor Summer Experience Details & Registration
Alpine HIKING with Nan Stevens
Experience the very best of what the Sun Peaks alpine playground has to offer; from panoramic views and vivid wildflowers to artifacts of days past and the rich history behind them! Led by ASSP President Nan Stevens, joined by ASSP instructors.
Dates: Saturday July 5th

Cost: Lift Ticket* + CADS membership (see below)
What to bring? A picnic lunch, water and snacks in a backpack
ALPINE HIKING + DISC GOLF with Riann and Ilkay
Experience the very best of what the Sun Peaks alpine playground has to offer; from panoramic views and vivid wildflowers to artifacts of days past and the rich history behind them! Challenging holes, diverse terrain with natural features, and scenic viewpoints await, all from the top of the Sunburst Express chairlift. Get ready to make some fun mountain memories. - If you have purchased your 2025-26 alpine season pass (for skiing/snowboarding), it is also valid for summer lift access for hiking. There is no extra cost for you!
- ASSP members entitled to 50% off the price of day lift ticket
2025 Summer Lift Pass Day Rates
Adult 19-64 $31 ($15.50 ASSP students)
Youth 3-18 $25 ($12.50 ASSP students)
Child 6-12 $19 ($9.50 ASSP students)
SUP with Paddlesurfit & Bodie Shandro
Stand Up Paddle Boarding with Bodie Shandro of paddlesurfit. Learn to Stand Up Paddle with โCanadaโs first professionally certified instructor,โ Bodie Shandro. Lesson covers equipment familiarization, dry-land instruction, water safety, board transport, stance and balance and fundamental paddling techniques. All equipment is included (board, paddle, PFD and leash).
Please Note: Lessons are held at Surfitโs location at Heffley Lake. To access the waterfront, individuals are required to navigate a steep, rugged trail down to the dock.

CADS/BCAS/ASSP Membership Required to participate in all programs. Membership is valid from July 1 -June 30th. Membership allows for participation in our 2024-25 Summer & Winter programming.

Registration Requirements
- Set up/Login to your Profile in Snowline
- Purchase Membership if you donโt already have one. One day memberships available!
- Complete CADS Waivers
- Complete Medical Form/Waiver
- Complete Third Party Waivers if applicable
- Registration submitted for review
- Registration accepted
- Provide payment for program fees
Registration Policies
- Membership is required for participation in all programs. Membership fees are non-refundable.
- Methods of Payment: Online payments only. Credit Cards accepted, VISA & MASTERCARD.
- Autism funding accepted. Please inform the office at time of booking by emailing adaptivesportsatsunpeaks@gmail.com. Include first and last name of student and program AFU funding should be applied to. For more info go to Autism Funding.
- Programs will run pending registration. If cancellation is necessary, ASSP will notify you and fees will be fully refunded.
- Winter Programming – locals registration is limited to a maximum total of 10 lessons for locals lesson sets and drop-ins combined.
- Winter Programming – out of town guests registration is limited to a maximum total of 10 drop-in lessons.
- Force Majeure – No refunds will be issued if a lesson or program is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances such as inclement weather, power outages etc.
- Cold Weather Policy – Lessons/programs cancelled if the temperature is -15 degrees celsius or colder, -12 degrees celsius for sit-skiers.
