Financial Assistance

KIDSPORT (For BC Residents)

Established by Sport BC in 1993, KidSport™ is a community-based sport funding program that provides grants for children aged 6 – 18 to participate in a sport season of their choice. Grants of up to $200 (depending on the community) are to be used for the payment of sport participation / registration fees.

CANADIAN TIRE JUMP START

The Canadian Tire Jumpstart program focuses on helping individual children become involved in organized sports and recreational activities to help them develop a healthier lifestyle in their younger years. Canadian Tire Jumpstart is a charitable program that helps kids in financial need aged 4 to 18 participate in organized sport and recreation activities. Canadian Tire Jumpstart accepts applications from eligible families in January each year until the funding runs out. Proof of financial assistance will be required.

AUTISM FUNDING ELIGIBILITY (For BC Residents)

Parents are encouraged to access other avenues of funding, listed above, prior to using Autism Funding.

If your child (6-18 years old and resides in BC) has been diagnosed with ASD and you have an Autism Funding Agreement, funding may be available through the BC Ministry of Children and Family Development’s Autism Funding: Ages 6-18 Program. Please contact the Autism Funding Unit for pre-approval. Approval is granted on an individual basis.

Our staff is happy to help with filling out Request to Pay Forms to receive the most efficient payment processing. We invoice the Autism Funding Unit direct so you don’t pay upfront.

WULF TROTTER MEMORIAL FUND FOR ASSP STUDENTS

Funding is available to ASSP students to access lessons, lift passes to attend lessons and equipment.

Applicants for the Wulf Trotter Bursary must meet the following criteria to be considered for funding:

  1. Member of ASSP in good standing
  2. Evidence or demonstration of financial need in a letter, phone call, Zoom meeting, other
  3. Application received by the October 31 deadline.
  4. New (potential) ASSP Members will be given a high priority by the Wulf Trotter Committee in order for a family to access services
