With the Blazers grant funding received in 2014, ASSP was able to provide financial support for enhanced training for many of our volunteer instructors. To date a total of 11 instructors have completed their certification in either CSIA Level 1(skiing) or CASI Level 1 (snowboarding) with a further 8 instructors on track for completing their certification courses this winter. Course funding was also provided to 3 of our instructors to attend specialized adaptive training at the Mount Hood Congress this past summer. These instructors have in turn developed training workshops to share their enhanced knowledge with the rest of our team. As well, funds were used to support one of our instructors in advancing his skills towards obtaining CSIA level 3 certification. This level of expertise allows for us to provide comprehensive in-house training to our volunteer instructors
